6.7 Detector Visualisation

A set of tools are included with SGV to easily visualise the defined detector geometry. It consist of a custom output mode of the detector geometry (activated by setting the steering card PLDET to TRUE), a perl-script plotdef.pl that assigns colour-codes and fill-area attributes to detector elements - the attributes are defined in the file plot_attrs.dat (see appendix B ) - and a PAW kumac-script showdet.kumac that draws the detector. These three files are on SGV_PAM, and can be copied to any location. When the kumac is executed, it will run an SGV-executable, chosen by the user.

To display the detector:
